Appendix A: Example Applications

This section illustrates three specific applications using ServSwitch™ Brand CAT5 KVM

Extender units:

• Simple system using ACU1006RA Local Hub and ACUSREM Remote Units to extend

serial and KVM for up to six PCs (Figure 14).

• Two remote serial touch screens with local access through a KVM switch (Figure 15)

using two ACU1008A kits.

• Information distribution system sharing a single PC at up to six remote locations

(Figure 16).
